Who are we?
Save Animals Worldwide is an animal rescue and advocacy organization based in Washington State (USA). We have over 20 years of experience rescuing and advocating for animals. We are a self-funded organization and do not accept donations. We are not affiliated with any other organization, and we do not receive any benefit or money from any other person, organization, or entity. We do not give permission for any person, organization, or entity to raise funds on our behalf.
Our primary online focus is to raise awareness about issues affecting the welfare of animals, and to guide people on what to do to make a positive impact on the treatment of animals across the world. We ask for positive action from the general public, public officials, and legislators to ensure the humane treatment of all animals, and to institute and support laws and regulations designed to protect animals, as well as to change existing laws and regulations that fail to protect animals. We ask for appropriate punishment for offenders of laws and regulations designed to protect animals.
Our founder, C. Nilsson, is a rescue volunteer and advocate for animals who is passionate about ending the inhumane treatment of all animals and about mobilizing people to positively act on behalf of animals. She believes every person who is willing to help animals can make an impact. She has rescued and advocated for animals for over 30 years, and also participated in rescue operations of domestic and wild animals during emergencies and natural disasters, including historic flooding in Missouri in 1993. She is a former wildlife rehabilitator and retired Federal investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice. She witnessed the dog and cat meat and fur trade in South Korea, and is driven to end the neglect, abuse, and brutal treatment of these animals and of all animals.
